Teak

Teak is ideal for outdoor furniture because it is rich in natural oils, making it self-maintaining, resistant to rot, and repellant to pests. To preserve its natural beauty, simply clean it occasionally with a mild solution and soft brush. 

If left un-oiled and shaded, teak retains its original look. Exposure to sunlight will change its color to a silver patina, which can be reversed with a high-pressure hose or sandpaper. For teak in sunny areas, consider using Golden Care Teak Protector in Honey Brown to keep its natural color and prevent it from turning grey.

To protect your teak dining table from stains, apply Golden Care Teak Shield every six months. This product prevents liquids from soaking into the wood, making spills easy to wipe off without leaving marks. A single bottle lasts a long time due to its efficiency in use.

Reclaimed Teak 

Reclaimed teak is teak wood that has been repurposed from old structures like boats, wharves, or buildings. It shares all the beneficial properties of new plantation teak and is even stronger due to its age.

To preserve its natural color, you can use the same Golden Care products mentioned earlier or maintain the wood by pressure hosing it several times a year.

Golden Care has introduced a new product called Vintage Teak in Dark Brown, specifically recommended for reclaimed teak. This Colour Protector helps maintain and enhance the wood's rustic appearance. 

Powder Coated Aluminium 

Aluminum is an excellent choice for outdoor furniture, offering several advantages that make it perfect for any outdoor space. Known for its lightweight yet strong properties, aluminum is easy to move and rearrange, providing sturdy support and durability. Additionally, aluminum requires little maintenance due to its natural resistance to rust and corrosion, ensuring that the furniture needs minimal upkeep. To clean aluminum furniture, simply wipe it down with a mild soap solution and a soft cloth or sponge, then rinse with water to keep it looking its best.

Wicker

The synthetic wicker used in our Kubu and Monaco outdoor ranges is crafted from Viro Fibre, made in the USA and backed by a 5-year manufacturer's warranty. Renowned globally as the highest quality wicker fibre, it resists heat, cold, fading, breaking, and splitting, ensuring both exceptional durability and aesthetic appeal.

For our Havana and Hamptons collections, we use U-Vax fibre, a UV-resistant synthetic wicker that maintains its color throughout, enhancing both durability and style.

Cleaning our wicker products is straightforward. Simply hose them down and wipe with a microfiber cloth dampened with soapy water.
